We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2025, at the age of 74, Lethia Amanda Sawyers (Williamsburg, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elhanier "Coach" Willis and Jaunita Harris Willis; and her brother John "Butch" Willis of Hopewell, VA.. She is survived by: her daughter Rochelle Thompson (Larry); her grandchildren, Jamal of Chester, VA and Janae Thompson of Chester, VA; her son William "BJ" Sawyers Jr. (LaToya); her grandchildren, Jalen Sawyers of Williamsburg, VA, Javon Sawyers of Williamsburg, VA and Janiya Sawyers of Williamsburg, VA; and her in-laws, Edna Willis of Chester, VA, Chester Willis (Diatricia) of Huntersville, NC, Elaine Davis (Percy) of Charlotte, NC, Larry Sawyers of Detroit, MI and Wayne Sawyers (Sandra). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to a kidney disease foundation of their choice.
