She was predeceased by: her brother Ronald Snell (late Harold Gill). She is survived by: her husband Harold B. Gill, Jr.; her children, Melissa Gill Thompson (Joe) and Harold B. Gill (Hal); and her siblings, Loretta Bolen, Wayne Snell and Douglas Snell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family moved to Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1961 when Harold began working at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
