He was predeceased by: his parents, Burley Johnson and Wanda Johnson; and his siblings, Michael Johnson, Susan Lee and Sabrina Johnson.

He is survived by: his son Jeremy Johnson (Lauren Creech); his grandchildren, Nathan Johnson, Trey Johnson and Amelia Johnson; his daughter Shannon Atwood; his grandchildren, Alexyia "Noodle" Griffin and Jaydene Griffin; his nieces, Celine Lee-Abell and Courtney Lee; and his nephew Randall Kierstead.
