He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank G. Smith and Esther Marie Smith. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Smith; and his children, Richard D. Smith, Jr., Rodney Lee Smith, Pattie Lynn Hart and Lindy Lou Gray. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
