She is survived by: her close friend Rosa Williams; her children, Philip Canady (Victoria), Tondalehya Wright (Karl) and Dionne Canady; her daughter-in-law Deborah Canady; her siblings, Linda "Cookie" Thornton and Melvin Jones; her children, Andre Jones and Susan Gardner; her goddaughter Velma "Pooh" Canaday; and her close friend Trenny. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, classmates, and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:30 AM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (4002 Ironbound Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188). Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
