It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rufus Wardell Piggott of Williamsburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 4, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Cornelia Piggott; his son Derrick Piggott; and his grandparents, Roland and Gracie Piggott. He is survived by: his wife Janice Patterson; his daughter Wanda Watson (Troy); his grandchildren, Miles Watson, Shemar Simons and Maya; his sisters, Carolyn Foster (Clyde) and Diane Braxton (Herman); and his nieces and nephews, Sharon Marsh (Reno), Katrina Wise (Brian), Ross Foster, Derwin Braxton and Oscar Howard. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
