He was predeceased by: his mother Alice Tyler. He is survived by: his father Samuel F. Tyler Sr.; his brothers, Ronald Lankford and Robert Lankford; his sister-in-law Leslie Lankford; his nieces, Deanna Johnson, Keisha Lankford, Alaya Lankford and Katelyn Lankford; and his aunts, Pauline Lankford Wright, Emma Chisman and Mary Gregory. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whiting's Funeral Home (7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185).
