She is survived by: her son Christopher Gene; her daughter-in-law Charlene; her granddaughter Chy'el; her siblings, Yvonne Woods, Melvin Gardner Sr., David J. Gardner, Blake E. Gardner, Judy Robinson and Elaine Gardner; her great-aunt Amanda Roberts; and her great-uncle Carl Roberts. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whiting's Funeral Home (7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Little Zion Baptist Church (8625 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185).
