He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elvin and Ruth Schoenbach Hartless; his brother Virgil; his sister-in-law Donna; and his parents-in-law, Salvatore and Patricia Russo.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela; his siblings, Cecelia Ann and James; his stepdaughter Rachel Spence (Stephen); and his brother-in-law Thomas Russo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and cousins, as well as a handful of aunts and one uncle.
