He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen D. Rio and Pierina M. Rio; and his wife Lynne K. Fickes. He is survived by: his son Carleton Richard (Viet Nam); his daughter-in-law Sonja Rio; his granddaughters, Alexa Tout (Jared), Sofia Carmen Rio and Anneka Lin Rio; and his great grandchild Valerie Tout.
