We are sad to announce that, on September 10, 2025, at the age of 86, Constance Lee Brainard Pettinger (Winchester, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Constance may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Constance touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sharla Brainard and Carleton Brainard. She is survived by: her husband Larry.
They honeymooned in Carmel, California, and developed a great love for the central California coast, making annual trips there throughout their married life until the arrival of the COVID pandemic.
We mourn the passing of Constance (Connie) Lee Brainard Pettinger, who died from the effects of Alzheimer's disease on September 10, 2025 in her home at Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury in Winchester, Virginia.
