She was predeceased by: her parents, Okey E. Short and Velmer Short (Russell); her children, Barbara Ann Boggs, Erma Sue Boggs and Ernest F. Boggs; and her granddaughter Elizabeth C. Boggs.

She is survived by: her husband Lawrence E. Combs; her stepsons, Richard Combs (Tammy) and Larry Combs (Shelly); her niece Teresa Sager; her grandchildren, Nathan David Boggs (Rhonda Lee), Kevin Dale Boggs (Ashley), Ashley Lynn Combs and Bradley Allen Combs; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Michel Boggs, Gabriel Dominic Boggs, Sadie Rose Boggs, Emily Claire Boggs, Kaylee Marie Morris, Eli Hunter Morris, Elani Grace Boggs, Dakota Evelyn Boggs and Nicholas Alexander Boggs.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amherst Chapel (1600 Amherst St, Winchester, VA 22601).
