She was predeceased by: her husband Reverend Floyd A. Murphy; and her son John. She is survived by: her children, Ellen (Jerry Kinlaw), Jayne, Kathleen (Jeff Zimmerman) and Peter; her grandchildren, Patrick (Kami), Christopher (Amy), Ben, Elizabeth (Brady Thews) and Eric; her great grandchildren, Jordan (John Patterson), Dakota, Brenna and Liam; Betty. She is also survived by five great-great-grandchildren.
