He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Louise Proffitt (Chapman); his children, Christopher Proffitt (Crystal) of Westminster, MD and Lisa Vance (John) of McGheysville, VA; and his grandchildren, Luke Proffitt, Gary Vance, Madison Vance and Christopher Proffitt, II.
