Evelyn Brown Obituary
We announce the death of Evelyn Brown (Winchester, Virginia), who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 96. Evelyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Young and Daisy Young; her husband Harold "Bo" Brown, Jr.; and her siblings, Olive, Laurie and Victor.
She is survived by: her children, Laurel A. Jones-Purdy and Gregory Jones (Cheryl); her stepchildren, Gerry Brown (Marianne), Elizabeth Jarvis (Howard) and Claiborne Brown (Joanne); her grandchildren, Sarah, Cole, Sharon (Jonathan), Lauren, Kathleen and Thomas; and her great grandchildren, Isabella and Emma.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church (114 W Boscawen St, Winchester, VA 22601). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Eve's memory to the Treasure Box, Christ Church, or Blue Ridge Care.
