He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Oakes and Laura Nurss Oakes. He is survived by: his children, Alice Reaves (Sam) of Stephens City and Charles Oakes of Winchester; his grandsons, Carl Reaves of Savannah, GA and Adam Reaves (Jennifer) of Morgantown, WV; and his great grandchildren, Madalyn and Grace.
