Ferguson E. Rood Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ferguson E. Rood in Winchester, Virginia, who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Rood and Euphemia Rood (Ferguson); and his brothers, Owen and Frank Rood (Nancy Haltom Rood). He is survived by: his significant other Nancy Haltom; his daughters, Cindy Robinson (David), Cathy Philips (Skip) and Carolyn Ferguson (James); his grandchildren, Emily Kauchak (Kevin), Will Heine, Stephen Philips, Christopher Philips, Erin Philips, Gavin Little and Arden Little; his great grandchildren, Kingston, Harper Kauchak, Camden and Beckham Heine; and his caregivers, Ferguson and Inus Quincey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in memory of Ferguson , to NW Works in Winchester, Virginia, in support of their mission of empowering adults with disabilities through employment and maximizing independence.
