She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Tyson and Mary Beavers Tyson; her husband Carl Harrison Lewis; her siblings, Faye "Penny" Anderson and Tommy Tyson; and her son-in-law Glen Kerns.

She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Kerns of Winchester, Christine Hoover (Richard) of Cross Junction and Linda Ballard (Robert) of Whitehall, PA; her grandchildren, Sandra Kerns (Chris), Dillon Kerns (Jasmyne), Emma Hoover (Chad), Amelia Ballard and Olivia Ballard; her great grandchildren, Zayne Kerns, Orion Ward and Athena Kerns; and her brother Baker Tyson (Shirley).
