He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lancy William Hammond and Mary Florence Hammond; his wife Edith Marie Hammond; his stepchildren, Kenneth R. Lewis of Front Royal, VA, Brenda D. Lewis of Winchester and Sherry L. Heishman of Winchester; his siblings, Shirley Baldwin of Kirby, WV, Betty L. Hammond of Severn, MD and Patsy A. Gapen of Charlestown, WV; his stepdaughter Sandra L. Lewis; and his sister Mary Golliday. He was also cherished by five step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home - Winchester (228 S Pleasant Valley Rd, Winchester, VA 22601). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
