He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richard Green and Naomi Elnora McCusker Green; his children, Delores "Peaches" Brannon and Larry Green, Jr.; and his siblings, Nettie, Ruth, Betty, Eva, Patty, Carol, Darlene, Jacqueline, Richard, Kenny, Lorenzo, Glenn, Joseph and Ronnie.

He is survived by: his wife Nilda Wheeler Green; his children, Jodi Kern, Larissa Green, Maureen Green, Julie Sine, Sharion Poston, Brian Green, Toby King, Keith Edwards, John "Sherman" Floyd and Christopher Kern, Sr.; his sister Rosalie Reese; and his grandchildren, Shauna Wood, Andrew Wood, Ashley Green, Joshua Green, Kylee Tomlin, Katelyn Tomlin, Vanessa West, Miranda Lockhart, Christopher Parrish, Kaleigh McIntyre, Christina Rosenglick, Angelique Pineda, Whitley Duncan, Anna Marchelewski, John Alger, Tiffany Geisweidt, Jessica McIlwee, Mason Sine, Jalynn Sine, Ethan Sine, Sean King, Christopher Kern, Jr. and Savanna Kern.
