She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lawrence Higgins and Elizabeth Frances Woolihan Higgins; her spouse Johan Gottlieb Ventevogel; and her siblings, Elizabeth Higgins (Betty), Mary Doyle and Arthur Higgins (Sonny).
She is survived by: her children, Lisa V. Basa (Chuck) of Winchester, VA, Jo-anne F. Ventevogel of Baton Rouge, LA and John L. Ventevogel of Raleigh, NC; and her granddaughter Abigail C. Basa of Washington, D. C..
