She is survived by: her husband Earl Herbert Coates, Jr.; her sons, Reverend Floyd Coates (Regina) of Winchester, VA and Eric Coates of Winchester, VA; and her grandchildren, Laurence Simmons, Jocelyn Coates, Shannon Coates, Sarah Myers (Jeannie), Douglas and Christopher Randolph. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and neighborhood children.
