She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Edmonds and Melda Edmonds (Jones); her former husband Paul E. "Peanut" Gillespie; her husband Garland Lorain "Jerry" Reid; and her siblings, Jenny Clark, Robert Edmonds and Ross Edmonds.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Ann Swartz (Charlie) of Frederick County, VA, Dewey Eugene Gillespie (Carol Ann) of Morgan County, WV and Donald Blane Gillespie of Winchester, VA; her grandchildren, Chelsea Jade Swartz, Joseph Paul Gillespie, Christian Ellis Gillespie, Dewey Eugene Gillespie, Jr. and Jerit Joseph Gillespie; and her great grandchild Morgana Gillespie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Martha's honor to the Church of Christ at Mountain View, 153 Narrow Lane, Winchester, VA 22602 or to Blue Ridge Care, 333 W. Cork St., Suite 405, Winchester, VA 22601.
