She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard L. Richardson and Adele S. Cederborg Richardson; her husband Lawrence H. Garrett; and her sister Joan Johnson. She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Kovaluk of Fort Collins, CO and Shellie Mead (Raymond) of White Post, VA; and her grandchildren, Bradley Kovaluk, Kyle Kovaluk, Craig Kovaluk, Cody Mead, Gabriel Mead, Emily Doerksen and Taylor Doerksen. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
