She was predeceased by: her parents, Alama Carpenter Nuri and Ismail Nuri; and her brother Dean N. Newman (TN). She is survived by: her siblings, Betty Snapp (VA), Ismail "Smile" Nuri Jr. (AL), Ismet Nuri (VA), Gail Hollinger (VA) and Susanna Lockley (VA); and her children, Joseph S. Harter of Leesburg, VA, James H. Harter of Stephens City, VA, Ellen D. Milligan of Stephens City, VA and Sara R. Hobbs of Leesburg, VA.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Jones Funeral Home - Winchester (228 S Pleasant Valley Rd, Winchester, VA 22601). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
