He was predeceased by: his parents, Ozias Ritter and Isabelle Ritter; and his siblings, Bonnie Brill, Linwood "Bubby" Ritter and Walter Ritter.

He is survived by: his wife Abbie; his son Perry Ryan Ritter (Jennifer); his grandsons, John and Dwayne Ritter; his great grandchild Gracie Ritter; his siblings, Michael Ritter and Sharon Ritter; and his siblings-in-law, Libby Ritter, Linda Ritter, Nancy Sirbaugh, Mark Ritter and Doug Brill. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sherman to any animal charity of the donor's choice.
