He was predeceased by: his parents, David T. Barnes and Evelyn V. Barnes; his wife Amy Henry Barnes; his stepdaughter Shirley Dawson Miller; and his stepgrandchildren, John Crim and Judith Crim Brewer.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Anna Lee Frederick; and his grandchildren, Kim Weaver (Eugene), Randy Frederick, Terry Frederick, Scott Frederick, Susan Crim and Jeffrey Crim (Shauna). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and several cousins.
