It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Shepard Harris Sr. of Winchester, Virginia, who passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Harris and Shepard Harris; and his brothers, Bushrod and Richard "Josh" Harris. He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his son William Shepard "Bubba" Harris Jr.; his granddaughter Kaylee M Corbin; his great grandchild Emory Tokes-Lee Corbin; and his stepgrandchildren, Aidan Ross, Avery Ross and Alex Ross.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Amherst Chapel (1600 Amherst St, Winchester, VA 22601). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (130 Keating Dr, Winchester, VA 22601). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 12th 2026 at the Shenandoah Memorial Park (1270 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA 22602).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Shep to Highland Food Pantry, 446 Highland Ave, Winchester, VA 22601.
