She was predeceased by: her husband R. L. Stephenson, Sr. (Sam); her parents, Archer Edwards and Bernice Edwards; her son Michael K. Stephenson; and her brother Ray Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, R. L. Stephenson, Jr. (Bob) and Brenda F. Starcher; her grandchildren, Jessica Irving (Aaron), Lindsey Dominguez (Miguel), Amy Turner (Steve) and Matthew Starcher (Rhonda); her siblings, Joyce E. Bradshaw (Johnnie) and Randolph Edwards (Susan); her sister-in-law Bonnie Edwards; her great grandchildren, Emma, Ryder Irving and Jeremy Dominguez; her caregivers, Monica Davis, Coretta King, Laura, Briana Reed, Jackie Cooper, Nekia Williams, Jeri Wheeless, Americare, Nicole, Michelle, Martha Sellers, Renita Green and Faye; Sharon Morris and Jen. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
