She was predeceased by : her parents, Lucy Morgan Williams and Harold Bandy Williams; and her husband Billy Poteat. She is survived by : her daughter Becky Poteat Acree (Garry) of Windsor, VA; and her grandsons, Jonathan Acree (Molly) of Chesapeake, VA and Tyler Acree of Hampton, VA..

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service - Letchworth Chapel (101 W 7th St, Scotland Neck, NC 27874). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sunnyside Cemetery (4764 US-258, Scotland Neck, NC 27874).
