He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hults and Dorothy Hults; his wife Thelma Ruth Hults; and his siblings, Arthur Hults, Marilyn Griffith, Cynthia Zabel and Jacqueline Lombardo.
He is survived by: his children, Samantha VanHorn (William) of Windsor, VA and James Phelps (Deanne) of Chesapeake, VA; and his siblings, Peter Hults (Pam), Linda Francis (Raymond) and Sandra Murphy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Friday, March 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
The family is requested that there be no flowers and donations be made to the Horton Wreath Society, Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery or a school system of your choice.
