It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Montgomery of Wirtz, Virginia, who passed away on May 10, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his wife Carol; his children, Dwaine (Opal), David (Myrtle) and Dena Layman (Allen); his siblings, Howard (Goldie), Frances Rutrough and Catherine Bowman; and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Bower Brubaker, Marlyn Updike (Jim) and Kay Austin. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
