He is survived by: his wife Judy Addington; his children, Charles (Angie) of Norton, Joey (Chrissy) of Wise and Becky Whited (Dell) of Wise; his grandchildren, Nikitia Gobble (Timothy), Dustin Addington (Clancy), Gavin Addington, Cassandra Stanley (Chris), Allison Whited (Tony), Jason Whited, Naz Whited, Cameron Whited, Camron Whited, Emma Laughary (Shawn), Calvin Whited, Matt Whited, Bryan Whited, Maddie Whited (Caleb), Sam Whited, Chance Whited and Iris Whited; his great grandchildren, Keira Boggs (Declan), Hannah Stanley and Jerimiah Stanley; his brother Thomas (Wanda); and his sisters-in-law, Wanda Addington and Evelyn Addington.

A procession was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Sturgill Funeral Homes - Wise (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Addington-Hensley Cemetery.
