With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joe Hubbard (Wise, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtin Hubbard and Evalea Hubbard; and his grandparents, McKinley, Maggie Hubbard, Fred and Ora Lane.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jack Hubbard (Frances) and Wilma Sluss (Mac); his aunts, Betty Hubbard and Joyce Huffstutler; his siblings' children, Crystal Sexton (Adam), Brandon Sluss, April Hubbard (Jake), Tiffany Sluss, Jason, Sherissa Sluss and Christopher Hubbard (Miranda); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alexis Sexton, Saidee Sexton, Christyn Sexton, Tyler Sluss, Christian Hubbard (Haley), McKinley Sluss, Brielle Hubbard, Benson Hubbard and Kaydence Sexton. He is also survived by cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293).
