With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Juanita Gawne in Wise, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2024 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Juanita may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Juanita touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Columbus Carroll and Madeline Carroll. She is survived by: her husband John Gawne; her children, Bradley Jr. Elswick (Martha), Bradford Elswick and Rhonda Blankenship (Harold); and her sisters, Christine Carroll Ratliff and Justine Carroll Ratliff. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
