We are sad to announce that on August 5, 2025, Phillip Gilliam in Wise, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Darrel Gilliam and Virginia Imogene Gilliam (Adams); his siblings, Darrel Lee Gilliam and Patricia Ann Osborne; and his close friend Dennis Mullins.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Gilliam (Duty); his daughter Angela D'Lynn Brady; his grandsons, John Phillip Denner of Gray, Tennessee and Ethan Dorton Brady of Gray, Tennessee; his brothers-in-law, Richard Duty, Randall Duty (Cheryl) of Bee and Rodney Duty (Brenda) of Vansant, Virginia; and his close friends, John Puckett, John McCain, Randy Mullins and Mike Mullins. He is also survived by Numerous nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at the Wise Cemetery (201 Church St NW, Wise, VA 24293).
