He is survived by: his son Jason Gilliam; his daughter-in-law Jaclyn Gilliam; his grandchildren, Lauren Gilliam, Abbey Arnold, Lucas Gilliam and Jordan Gilliam; his great grandchild Evelyn Morelock; and his brothers, Mike Hummill, John Hummill, Chuck Hummill and Marty Gilliam.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at the Hubbard Family Cemetery (6934 Birchfield Rd, Wise, VA 24293).
