It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Wayne Long of Wolftown, Virginia, who passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Long and Lucille Mae Weaver Long; his wife Catherine Breeden Long; and his son Terry Wayne Long. He is survived by: his daughter Joyce Ventre (Wes) of Mineral; his siblings, Jimmy Long (Margaret) of Rapidan, Larry Long (Janie) of Madison, Kay Long Jenkins (William) of Louisa and Pamela "Pam" Collier (Otis) of Palmyra; his grandchildren, Katlyn Nichole Berry (Gregory Wood) and Dallas Brianna Ventre; his great grandchild Ariel Rae Wood-Berry; and his close friend Karen.
