He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Newdorf and Louis Newdorf. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his children, Larry (Janice), Sarah (Paul) and Rachel; and his grandchildren, Justin and Jessica.

A graveside service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Quantico National Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172-1636).

Contributions can be made to a nonprofit of your choice as Martin was generous to many causes including (but not limited to) animal rescues, military veterans, Alzheimer's research, and environmental protection.
