He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Eckert and Gladys Fleming Eckert; and his siblings, Romey Eckert, Walter Eckert and Elizabeth Gershen.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Haley Eckert; his sister Carol Majkowski; his sister-in-law Patricia Haley Brown; and his close friends, Darell and Annette Hall. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church (10306 Ladysmith Rd, Ruther Glen, VA 22546). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
