He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Fender Alderman of Woodlawn, Virginia; his children, Lesa (Gene Goad), Janie (Mike Brady) and David; his daughter-in-law Ramona Alderman of Woodlawn, Virginia; and his sister Mary Melton of Woodlawn, Virginia. He is also survived by several step-great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
