She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Wheeler and Evaline Wheeler Chaney (Peer); and her stepfather Edward Chaney. She is survived by: her pet Roscoe; her siblings, Roy "Frank" Wheeler and Kathy L. Hoover (Larry W. Green); her nephew Mike "Mikey" Wheeler; her niece Beverly M. Nethers; her close friend Roscoe; her siblings, Nilda N. Green, Mike O. Wheeler (Debbie) and Robert Chaney (Susan); her sons, Roger "Odell" Hoover and Matthew "Shane" Hoover; her grandchildren, Matthew, Vicki, Adam, Shanna, Alexia, Austin and Destiny; her brother Gary Chaney; and her nieces and nephews, Jodi, Tasha, Christopher, April, Ann, Amy, Jennifer, Amanda, Wayne, Chris, James and Sierra. She is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of JoAnn's deep love to her beloved companion, Roscoe, a private pet care fund has been established to ensure his continued care.
