He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Robert and Carrie Dunford Akers. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Akers; his siblings, Lynn Akers Puckett, Elaine Thomas (Bobby) and Wade Akers (Trudie); his mother-in-law Christine Cook; and his sister-in-law Dianne Cranford (Carl). He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and many extended family.
