She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Fields Mack Cale, Elizabeth Belle Jennings Cale of Smyth Co, Richard Henderson Goodman and Martha Jane Poole Goodman of Meadowview, VA.; her husband Robert Ford Aker; her siblings-in-law, Christine Aker Mabe, Juanita Aker Umberger, George E. Aker, Donald M. Umberger and Harry E. Mabe; Edgar Lee Aker and Lottie Archer Aker.

She is survived by: her son Gregory Fieldon; her daughter-in-law Margaret Sturgis Aker (Peggy) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Brooks Fieldon Aker (Kenna Brooke Aker) of Charlotte, NC and Elizabeth Aker Bianco (Samuel Thomas Bianco) of Christiansburg, VA; her great grandchildren, John Heath Cale and Mark Fieldon Cale of Wytheville; her granddaughter Melissa Cale Krinos (Dimitri); her sister-in-law Shirley G. Aker of Speedwell; her friends, Janice Alford, Barbara Goins, Mary Johnson of Wytheville, Phyllis C. Ashworth of Wytheville and Lynne K. Bishop of Roanoke, VA; and her caregiver Jeff Nichols. She is also survived by three other nephews, several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
