He was predeceased by: his parents, Hagan Russell Roop and Dora Orr Roop; and his wife Kathryn "Ty" Findlay Roop. He is survived by: his children, Che Findlay Roop of Wytheville, Kevin Wayne Roop (Ann Darby) and Mia Campbell Massi (Kevin) of Charlotte, NC; his granddaughter Amelia Massi; and his siblings, Margaret Ann Elkins of Jonesville, VA and Dennis Roop of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Wytheville Community College.
