He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayland Alston and Lena Mae Alston; Lena M Alston. He is survived by: his siblings, Wayland, Charles Alston and Fannie Smith; his close friend Wayne Lipscomb; his siblings, Eunice Wardrett, Angie Thomas (Earle), Linda Alston, Tammie Hilliard (Alex) and Calvin Alston (Bonita); and his sister-in-law Evelyn Alston. He is also survived by nieces and nephews that he treated as his own children, and many friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home (4304 Victoria Blvd, Hampton, VA 23669). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cornerstone Worship Center (55 Tide Mill Ln, Hampton, VA 23666).
