He was predeceased by: his significant other Betty Jean Padgett; his parents, Marguerite Phillips and Walter B. Padgett; and his sister Janet Rowe. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Epperly; his children, Doug Padgett Jr., Laura Padgett Doster (Scott) and Ellen Padgett Middaugh (Robert); his stepson David Dendy (Julie); his half-brother Jerry Padgett; and his stepdaughters, Lori Hogge and Valerie Epperly (Pat).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Amory Funeral Home (410 Grafton Dr, Yorktown, VA 23692). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
