He was predeceased by: his father George Washington Brehm Sr.; and his brother George Washington Brehm Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Ruth Gerda Brehm; his siblings, Glenn A. Brehm and Gina L. Brehm; his daughter Melissa S. Brehm (Chris Erickson); and his grandchildren, Alexis, Roxanna Nicholson, Prudence, Gunner and Ryker Erickson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
