She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Holloway and John Holloway. She is survived by: her husband Curtis Rook; her children, John Curtis Rook (Sheri) and Melody Scott (Gary); her grandchildren, Clarissa Rook, John Curtis Rook Jr. (JJ), Maddisen Rook, Abby Rook, Lauren Kemp (Chase), Steven Scott (Lily), Ashlynn Scott and Jordan Scott; her great grandchildren, Harrison Scott, Amber Calfee, Hudson Scott, Hayden Scott and Walker Ann Kemp; her cousins, Sherry Hargrave and Jackie Holloway; and her aunts and uncles, Edna Mae Barr, Gloria I. Norton, Lorenzo Insley and Frank L. Insley Jr.. She is also survived by numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews, and family friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (1294 Poquoson Ave, Poquoson, VA 23662). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
