Though Michael may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorraine Shields Wood and Robert Randolph Wood. He is survived by: his wife Mary Martha Stubbs Wood; his daughters, Amy Wood Bernecker (Mark) of Williamsburg, VA and Rachel Wood Christie (Mark) of Dandy, VA; and his grandchildren, Adam Michael Bernecker, Maci Elizabeth Bernecker, Caroline Elizabeth Christie and Aubrey.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 29th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Amory Funeral Home (410 Grafton Dr, Yorktown, VA 23692).
